The point-value of problem 2 was changed from 13 to 15, and the point-value of problem 5 from 15 to 17, so that I could give some points just for recognizing the type of DE correctly. These changes brought the point-total for the exam to 115. (So, to convert your score to a percentage, multiply by 100/115.) This percentage is the number that will be used in the computation of your grade for the class at the end of the semester. The course grade is based on a 1000-point scale, with each midterm accounting for 200 points, and the final exam accounting for 400 points. As an example, a score of 85 on this exam is converted to 74% (approximately), which contributes 148 points (approximately) towards your whole-course score on the 1000-point scale. Note that it is your exam scores that are averaged together on this scale, not your letter-grades.
