Note: Students who disregarded rules I gave for submissions—stated emphatically, multiple times and ways—slowed down the grading of the exam, to the detriment their classmates and instructor. As of the time of this post, I have not yet decided the penalties I will assess. I will need to go back through the exams, student by student, to decide what I think is a fair penalty. That is not my top priority over the next few days.

    All students deserve to know where they stand before the drop deadline. That includes the students who've paid attention and have not made the grading unnecessarily difficult. As these students already know, I'm working as hard as I can to get as much grading done as possible before the Monday Nov. 23 drop-deadline. Students who've followed my rules don't deserve to have their feedback further delayed by my spending even more extra time on students who didn't follow them.
