I selected Friday as the due date in order that I be
able to return your papers to you by the last day of class; otherwise
I would have postponed the due date till Monday and would have
required you to hand in more problems. Do not underestimate
the importance of doing the non-hand-in problems.

Hand in only 1bd,3,4,6,10bc,26. Before attempting 29b, you should do
the problems C3, C4 from group C below.
- B: (Hand this in.) In problem #3 on p. 91 of the textbook,
suppose you remove the hypothesis that the sets
S1,S2 are both closed. Is the conclusion
still true?
